Training & Development Manager - Wealth Adviser Specialist

Experienced & Motivated Training & Development Manager – Wealth Management (UK)

A challenging opportunity has arisen with one of the fastest growing Wealth Management Firms in the UK for a Training & Development Manager to report to the Senior Training & Development Manager.

This role provides a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to play a critical part in driving adviser competence, development, and business success in the UK. If you have a strong regulatory background, passion for coaching, and a commitment to developing Financial Adviser capability, we'd love to hear from you.

Based primarily at home, you’ll also be expected to travel regularly to support team meetings and deliver face-to-face coaching and supervision when required.


Key Responsibilities

Adviser Supervision & Coaching

  • Deliver compliance-led supervision and coaching, both remotely (via Microsoft Teams) and in person as needed.
  • Coordinate mentoring and support for trainee advisers and those progressing towards Competent Adviser status.
  • Develop advisers’ technical expertise, professional behaviours, and performance.
  • Monitor adviser conduct and adherence to company policies, providing regular feedback and performance updates.

Competence Assessment

  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to evaluate and assess adviser competence and performance.
  • Maintain robust compliance records to demonstrate adviser competence in line with regulatory and business requirements.
  • Ensure advisers meet statutory and regulatory training obligations.

Training & Development

  • Collaborate with the Business Quality team to identify individualised learning and development needs.
  • Design and manage development plans supporting continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to creating and delivering engaging training programmes aligned with both business and individual goals.
  • Lead consistency meetings to maintain a high standard of supervision and assessment across the business.

Reporting & Governance

  • Keep records of training, coaching, and supervision activities for accurate Management Information (MI).
  • Ensure all documentation remains audit-ready and fully compliant with internal governance and regulatory standards.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Build strong working relationships across regional teams, Business Quality, and leadership to embed best practice.
  • Support business improvement initiatives and contribute to ad hoc projects where required.

Essential Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

  • Diploma-qualified (or equivalent) in line with UK regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience in financial services, ideally within wealth management, advisory, or compliance.
  • Deep understanding of UK regulatory frameworks, adviser competence standards, and compliance obligations.
  • Desirable: Previous experience supervising, coaching, mentoring, or developing financial advisers.
