About Us

Are you an experienced administrator with a keen eye for detail? Do you have an interest in both online and in-person events? If so, our Training and Events Assistant role may be for you!

IStructE is a charity and the professional body for structural engineers. We have a global membership that has:

  • Designed many of the world’s iconic structures
  • Contributed to buildings and bridges often taken for granted

Our mission centres on creating safer structures for public benefit, with a focus on:

  • Environmental sustainability, including the impact of structural engineering on natural resources and climate change
  • Inclusion, supporting diverse talent in the profession
  • Assisting vulnerable communities, especially those prone to natural hazards (e.g. earthquakes, extreme flooding)

If you’re passionate about working within a team of 80 staff and alongside our members to address these challenges, we’d love to hear from you.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
