This is a critical role responsible for developing, maintaining, and assuring integrated project and programme schedules, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams, dependencies, and stakeholders.

At DXC Technology, we are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. We actively encourage applications from neurodiverse individuals, women, and other underrepresented groups in technology.

Role Summary

The Training Lead is responsible for ensuring the Systems Engineering organisation has the skills, knowledge, and capabilities required to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes. This role owns the engineering training strategy, competency framework, learning pathways, and onboarding experience, ensuring engineers are equipped with the processes, tools, and technical knowledge needed to perform effectively.

Working closely with engineering leadership, discipline leads, and Learning & Development teams, the Training Lead drives workforce capability improvement through structured training programmes, skills assessments, and continuous learning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Training Strategy & Capability Development

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the engineering training strategy, ensuring alignment with engineering processes, governance, toolsets, and programme requirements.
  • Establish and maintain competency frameworks that define the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required across engineering disciplines.
  • Identify capability and skills gaps through assessments, audits, performance data, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Develop workforce training roadmaps that support both current delivery needs and future capability requirements.

Training Planning & Delivery

  • Create and manage training plans covering systems engineering fundamentals, engineering processes, methodologies, tools, and role-specific competencies.
  • Coordinate the delivery of training through internal subject matter experts, external training providers, and digital learning platforms.
  • Ensure training programmes are accessible, relevant, and aligned to engineering best practices.
  • Support the development of certification pathways and professional development opportunities.

Learning Resources & Knowledge Management

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve training materials, learning resources, guidance documents, and training documentation.
  • Ensure learning content remains current and reflects approved engineering processes, standards, and governance requirements.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning across the engineering community.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
