Position Objectives

The primary objective of Training Manager is to manage training projects and support the coordination of the Training team’s work. The Training Manager oversees the end-to-end delivery of online training programmes and learning materials that improve the knowledge and skills on GS1 standards, services and sectors.

Acting as training expert, the person coordinates and delivers training initiatives from needs identification through learning design, development, delivery and promotion, working with subject matter experts, external training agencies, GS1 Member Organisations and Global Office teams. The role also supports the adoption of the global learning platform by ensuring that training content is visible, accessible and engaging for users.

In addition, the role provides project coordination support across the Global Office Training team. This includes maintaining visibility on project progress, key actions, risks and issues, facilitating regular team discussions, supporting collaboration and knowledge sharing, and helping team members identify practical solutions under the guidance of the Director.

Working closely with the Training team and colleagues across the GS1 Global Office and GS1 Member Organisations, the Training Manager helps ensure that training initiatives are well coordinated, aligned with GS1 priorities, responsive to the needs of the global GS1 community, and support the implementation of the GS1 Vision 2030 Strategy.

  • Oversee training development projects end-to-end, coordinating contributors, external training agencies and third parties.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
