Learning and Development Manager – Training Department

Role Purpose

You will oversee and deliver the full range of training requirements for all employees at Menzies World Cargo, ensuring continuous compliance with:

  • Menzies Aviation standards
  • Airline customer requirements
  • National and international regulatory authorities

Your key focus is to maintain the highest training standards while keeping all documentation, records, and compliance up to date.


What You Will Be Doing

  • Deliver training to the highest possible standard, in full adherence to the Menzies Aviation Learning and Development Policy. Ensure all records, databases, and compliance documents are accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • Proactively liaise with Duty Managers and departmental leads to schedule and coordinate training across operational, customer, and regulatory needs.
  • Identify and manage mandatory/refreshers training for all staff in a time-sensitive manner, maintaining full compliance with company, airline, and statutory standards.
  • Develop, review, and update training materials to reflect:
    • Latest airline procedures
    • New products
    • Regulatory changes Ensure alignment with Menzies Aviation and customer expectations.
  • Support audit readiness: Assist in preparing for airline audits and internal quality reviews, ensuring all training documentation meets the required standards.

Additional Responsibilities

What We Are Looking For

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Preferential: Possession of an AET (Associate Educator) Level 3 in Education and Training
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS Empower)
  • Knowledge of DFT (Department for Transport) regulations, the Health & Safety Act, and other compliance requirements
  • Ability to balance flexibility with effective time management to manage the Training Department successfully
