Key Requirements & Characteristics

Ideal candidates will:

  • Have experience in planning or operational delivery, ideally within the aviation industry
  • Enjoy collaborative crew training planning and delivering high-quality solutions efficiently
  • Be passionate about process improvements and ensuring regulatory compliance in fast-paced environments
  • Be available for 3 workdays per week at Luton headquarters

The Team

You’ll work within our Training Team, reporting directly to the Crew Planning Training Manager. Our role is to ensure our pilots and cabin crew receive continuous, compliant, and efficient training—keeping our entire operation running smoothly and safely.

Core Responsibilities

As Training Planning Officer, your duties and primary focus areas include:

  • Designing and maintaining efficient, cost-effective Pilot and Cabin Crew training rosters
  • Incorporating fatigue analysis to minimise compliance risks and business impact
  • Ensuring rosters align with:
    • Legal regulations (EASA/wider aviation authorities)
    • Company policy
    • Industrial/training agreements
  • Developing and updating manually-referenced training systems and procedures, both written and operational
  • Generating and analysing statistical training reports for higher stakeholders
  • Testing and maintaining the internal AIMS system module (Training function)
  • Contributing to the annual budgeting process for training investments
  • Conducting audits and reporting on crew licensing expiry risks/hs ● impacts
  • Overseeing:
    • Ongoing recurrent training
    • Initial training induction planning
    • Ad-hoc training needs (special courses/hot topics)
  • Ensuring all on-schedule training delivery, with real-time compliance reporting
  • Managing a daily review system to validate roster alignment with legal requirements

Required Skills & Experience

We seek candidates with the following abilities, knowledge, and experience:

Essential Competencies

  • Team collaboration: Experienced in fostering a problem-solving approach
  • Analytical skills: Capable of translating crew roster trends and compliance data for optimisation
  • Customer mindset: Empathy toward crew and stakeholders is key
  • Technical expertise:
    • Deep understanding of the easyJet AIMS crew tracking system (or comparable solutions)
    • Familiarity with pilot/cabin crew training footprints (IQR system knowledge preferred)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Competence in analytical tools, databases, and reporting systems
  • Attention to detail: Accuracy critical for legal and financial compliance
  • Regulatory awareness:
    • Knowledge of EASA Flight Time Limitations (FTL), Fatigue Risk Management Systems
    • Familiarity with broader aviation crew legislation or equivalent industry norms
  • Time management: You must adhere to strict project deadlines while maintaining excellence
