About the Role
Police Scotland are now recruiting for a Training Quality Assurance Officer to join the Quality Assurance team within Learning, Training and Development.
In this role, you will:
- Assure quality of all training and educational products through the application of policies and processes that support the National Framework for Quality Assurance in Training
- Work in partnership with training delivery, providing specialist advice on quality assurance matters
- Support continuous improvement, credit rating, accreditation, and validation of educational products
Note: This is a part-time vacancy (30 hours per week). Flexible working options can be discussed and agreed during the offer stage.
The base location will be the Scottish Police College, Tulliallan, with hybrid working in place. Travel to other sites may be required based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure alignment with the National Framework for Quality Assurance across Police training in Scotland and external partners
- Support the continued recognition and development of credit rating under the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) and Qualifications Scotland Approved Centre Status
- Undertake quality audits and focused research on the impact and effectiveness of training and educational products
- Provide first-line support and specialist advice on all quality assurance-related matters
- Deliver Quality Assurance workshops and training presentations for Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
