Metropolitan Police Service Leadership Academy Facilitator – Temporary Contract

Exclusively partnered with Reed Talent Solutions, we’re seeking experienced Leadership Academy Facilitators to deliver impactful training as part of the Met’s expansive leadership development programme. This role offers the chance to shape the skills of 34,000+ Police Constables, Detectives, and police staff, fostering a culture of leadership excellence.

Location: Central London (onsite at dedicated venue + occasional Met locations) Contract Type: Temporary (6 months) Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:00 Pay: £367/day (umbrella) or £281.41 PAYE, starting in September 2024 Note: CTC/NPPV2 vetting required—appointment not immediate.


About the Role

As a Leadership Academy Facilitator, you’ll deliver high-impact leadership training to diverse Police teams, driving consistent behavioural alignment with organisational values. Working alongside peers, you’ll:

  • Foster engaging, inclusive learning environments
  • Reinforce key leadership principles through interactive sessions
  • Collaborate with programme leads to uphold training standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality leadership training centred on behavioural change and skill application
  • Facilitate dynamic classroom interactions, encouraging discussion and collaboration
  • Support delegates in applying learning to real-world scenarios
  • Record attendance, manage evaluations, and contribute to training data
  • Ensure consistency across facilitators in an structured, professional delivery
  • Adhere to strict quality assurance protocols

Core Experience & Skills

  • Proven expertise in training, workshops, or facilitation (group dynamics preferred)
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and engagement skills
  • Comfortable managing diverse, often high-stress audiences
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Proficient with PowerPoint and digital training tools

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

(Not essential but advantageous)

  • Level 4 Training Qualification or College of Policing’s Trainer Essentials Programme
  • Background in public sector, policing, criminal justice, or law enforcement
  • Facilitation experience in leadership, cultural change, or behavioural programmes

Working Arrangements

  • Fully onsite (no hybrid/home options)
  • Standard hours 08:00–16:00, Monday–Friday
  • Quality assurance monitoring—facilitators may be observed during sessions
  • Strict professionalism expected in all interactions
