Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster
Playing a vital role in supporting Royal Navy training delivery, the Training Support Officer (Timetabler) ensures that the right people, resources and training facilities are in place to deliver a complex programme of technical and tactical training at the Defence Diving School.
Working as part of a collaborative training support team, you'll coordinate schedules and allocate resources to help ensure courses run smoothly and efficiently. As the contract enters an exciting phase focused on innovation, optimisation and continuous improvement, you'll contribute directly to the successful delivery of training that supports the development of Defence personnel and operational capability.
This is a part time role working 21 hours a week over 3, 4 or 5 days
Full-time role - 21 hours a week - Term Time only (45 weeks)
Horsea Island - Portsmouth
Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
What you'll be doing
- Create and maintain training schedules and course timetables using TAFMIS.
- Coordinate course dates and publish training information on relevant systems.
- Allocate and schedule training resources, facilities and venues.
- Provide administrative support for courses, visits, guest speakers and external venues.
- Support learner accommodation, travel arrangements and course amendments.
- Work closely with training teams to ensure the smooth planning and delivery of courses.

What we're looking for:
Essential:
- Previous experience as an administrator
- Good organisational skills
- Strong IT (MS Office) knowledge
Desirable:
- Knowledge/experience within the military
- Experience of working in a training environment
