Job title: Training Support Co-ordinator (Navy Firefighting Unit)
Job Description:
🕒 Full-time role – 40 hours a week
📍 Paisley, Scotland
🔐 Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
What you will be doing:
- Initially supporting the delivery of theoretical and practical marine firefighting training instruction
- Once qualified you will become an Instructor carrying out the training directly
- Acting as Safety Officer for practical firefighting training
- Acting as the Control Room Operator, monitoring safety systems and controlling the fire compartment settings and parameters.
- Ensuring all training equipment, training areas and classrooms are correctly prepared prior to use
- Providing First Aid response (training provided)
- Ensuring health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with.
- Maintaining documentation, test, and calibration records.
What we’re looking for:
Essential Skills:
- Previous experience within Navy or Fire Service (ideally Royal Navy)
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Team player
- Physically fit and able to wear Breathing Apparatus and work in extremely hot conditions
- Proficiency in using IT within the workplace.
