Description
We are seeking a motivated and industry experienced Trainer/Assessor in Engineering to join our dynamic Engineering department at Sandwell College. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing the next generation of skilled engineers through high-quality teaching, training and assessment.
As a Trainer/Assessor, you will support the College’s commitment to Intent, Implementation and Impact by delivering innovative and engaging training programmes. You will work closely with apprentices and employers to ensure learners develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to meet and exceed industry standards.
Please note that this role is currently being advertised while we are finalising our curriculum planning process; as such, there may be some minor amendments to the post once final approval is received at the end of the process. Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality training and assessment to apprentices in both college and workplace settings Develop innovative delivery models and customised training programmes aligned to employer needs Carry out workplace assessments and support timely learner achievement Manage an agreed caseload of learners, tracking progress and providing regular updates Maintain accurate learner records and ensure compliance with awarding body requirements Participate in curriculum development, planning and standardisation activities Maintain up-to-date knowledge of work-based learning funding and eligibility criteria

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Hold a teaching qualification, Cert Ed or equivalent or be willing to work towards if this is required in post Hold a D32/33/A1/TAQA or willing to work towards Hold a D34/V1 or willing to work towards Experience of assessing and training in the subject area to Level 3 or abov Experience /knowledge of working within the relevant secto Experience of managing caseloads of candidates
