Transaction Services Associate Director

**Associate Director – Financial Advisory (Transaction Services) |

Location: London Industry: Advisory Services

About the Role

Most transaction services roles promise exposure to deals—fewer offer the chance to genuinely shape them, in collaboration with senior leadership, influence commercial outcomes, build client relationships, and develop into a well-rounded advisory leader.

If you’ve felt stuck in a purely execution-based due diligence role or crave deeper impact—ownership of client relationships, visibility with senior stakeholders, and a clear path to leadership—this opportunity could be the workforce acceleration you’re looking for.

This is not a traditional transaction services post. You’ll step into a fast-paced, high-performing team at a leading UK advisory firm, advising on complex buy-side and sell-side mandates while developing the commercial and leadership skills that will progress you toward Director-level and beyond.

What sets this role apart? • No traditional "backroom" handovers – Client ownership isn’t limited to Partners. You’ll lead engagements, engage directly with stakeholders, and deliver impactful client advice. • A culture of visible progression – Clear pathways for growth, shaping your career with meaningful responsibility and influence. • Beyond technical execution – Genuine commercial direction and strategic decision-making input, not just number-crunching.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial due diligence and deal advisory engagements across a diverse range of buy-side and sell-side mandates—supporting mergers, acquisitions, disposals, and broader strategic transactions • Interpret complex financial data to identify key commercial issues, delivering actionable insights that shape client decisions • Take full ownership of engagements:

  • Manage client expectations and deliverables independently
  • Lead client-facing discussions with confidence
  • Drive output quality consistently • Develop senior-level business advisory skills, moving towards trusted adviser status with both clients and internal leadership • Mentor and supervise junior team members, fostering a high-performing team culture • Contribute to business development activities—leverage existing networks and build new relationships to grow the Advisory practice

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
