Transaction Services Partner – Financial Services

Location: London

Position Level: Partner

Compensation: Competitive Package


About the Role

My client, an established and growing advisory firm, is looking to appoint a Transaction Services Partner to lead and develop its financial services deals offering.

This is a senior growth hire for an experienced Transaction Services professional with a strong track record of originating and delivering financial due diligence engagements across the financial services sector.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will take responsibility for building the firm’s profile and market share within financial services Transaction Services.

You will work with private equity investors, financial institutions, corporates, and other deal stakeholders on UK and cross-border transactions across areas including:

  • Banking and specialist lending
  • Insurance and insurance distribution
  • Asset and wealth management
  • Payments and fintech
  • Consumer finance
  • Financial services infrastructure and technology

The role combines business development, senior client leadership, transaction delivery, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the growth strategy for the financial services Transaction Services practice
  • Originate new mandates through an established network of private equity, corporate, and financial services relationships
  • Lead buy-side, sell-side, and vendor financial due diligence engagements
  • Advise clients on the key financial, commercial, and operational considerations affecting financial services transactions
  • Build relationships with investors, management teams, lenders, lawyers, and other deal advisers
  • Identify opportunities to introduce wider services across tax, valuations, restructuring, strategy, and corporate finance
  • Lead proposals, pitches, and commercial negotiations
  • Provide senior oversight across engagement quality, risk management, and client delivery
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing Transaction Services team
  • Contribute to the wider strategic direction and continued growth of the firm

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate is likely to:

  • Be an established Transaction Services Partner or an experienced Director with a credible route to Partner
  • Have significant financial due diligence experience within a recognised accountancy or advisory firm
  • Demonstrate a strong track record across financial services transactions
  • Bring an established network of private equity, corporate, and intermediary relationships
  • Have a proven ability to originate and convert new business
  • Be confident leading complex, high-value, and cross-border engagements
  • Possess strong commercial judgement and the ability to communicate effectively with boards, investors, and management teams
  • Have experience building teams, developing talent, and creating a collaborative working environment
  • Hold an ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification
