Transaction Supervisor
Transaction Supervisor – Finance – Bedford (Full-Time, Office-Based)
Location: Bedford, MK43 9EJ (Essential: Valid driver’s licence with access to a car for office travel)
About the Role
We are looking for a full-time, office-based Transaction Supervisor to join our Finance team at our Head Office. In this key leadership role, you will assist the Transaction Manager in leading a team to deliver outstanding customer service while ensuring strict adherence to Copart’s Credit Control, Seller Payments, and Invoicing processes.
You will liaise closely with internal teams, Sellers, and Sales, providing timely support and resolving operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop a high-performing Credit Control team.
- Drive colleague engagement, communication, and performance management.
- Lead strategy to improve team productivity and cohesion.

Daily Credit Control Operations
- Oversee aged debt management, invoice processing, payment administration, and query resolution.
- Ensure service levels and KPIs are met or exceeded daily.

Customer & Stakeholder Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service to external Sellers, internal teams, and key stakeholders.
- Maintain strong relationships with Sales for seamless transaction flow.

Performance Monitoring & Improvements
- Track team performance metrics and implement best practices.
- Identify process bottlenecks and propose efficiency improvements.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Work with Finance, Sales, and Legal to resolve commercial and operational issues.
- Apply commercial awareness and contract knowledge for sound decision-making.

Requirements & Skills
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Credit Control or debt management.
- Proven leadership ability, including team motivation and development.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Customer-focused mindset; ability to manage repeated queries professionally.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills.
- Self-driven with initiative and adaptability for a fast-paced environment.
- Committed to quality improvement in operational processes.
