About the Role

NEW GROUND WON’T BREAK ITSELF.

Our Transfer Pricing team supports multinational businesses across diverse sectors, guiding them through the entire transfer pricing life cycle—from design and implementation to compliance, documentation, and audit defences.

This Associate Director position is ideal for exceptional professionals who want to lead with strategic insight, grow teams, and deliver impactful solutions.


Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage a high-quality team of tax specialists, coaching and developing individuals to achieve collective objectives.
  • Play an active role in mentoring and performance enhancement to foster growth.

Business Growth & Client Engagement

  • Support Partners/Directors in implementing business plans and generating new revenue opportunities.
  • Build and expand external/internal networks to secure fee-generating work—partnering on pitches and winning business with a business-focused approach.
  • Lead or assist in major assignments, ensuring seamless team delivery, development, and client service without heavy reliance on senior oversight.

Client Service & Portfolio Management

  • Own and deliver complex client portfolios, ensuring exceptional service standards with minimal managerial support.
  • Act as a client champion, fostering long-term relationships based on trust and added value.

Professional Development & Accountability

  • Commit to continuous growth through clear objectives, regular feedback, and scorecard-based targets.
  • Uphold high ethical standards, aligning with Grant Thornton’s organisational values.

What You’ll Bring

Essential Criteria

  • Qualified with a prestigious accounting designation:
    • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACA)
    • Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA)
    • ATA Taxation Technician (ATT)
  • Minimum 5–7 years’ experience at Manager level or above in transfer pricing or related domains (e.g., international tax).
