Transfer Pricing

As our work continues to expand across sectors and jurisdictions, the scale, complexity, and strategic importance of our transfer pricing projects are accelerating. With A&M’s strong market momentum, we are growing our tax practice rapidly and are now seeking an Assistant Director to help lead and shape the continued expansion of our Transfer Pricing team.

In this senior role, you will take ownership of high‑value, cross‑border engagements—ranging from IP migration and pricing of cross‑border debt to global supply chain design, major international restructurings, pre‑deal due diligence and post‑merger integration. You will also help clients navigate critical regulatory moments, including transfer pricing disputes, tax audits, and evolving BEPS‑driven policy changes, while contributing to the strategic development of our offering.

About The Role

As an Assistant Director in the Transfer Pricing team, you will play a pivotal role in leading complex, multi‑jurisdictional projects, shaping client strategy, and driving the continued growth of our practice. You will combine deep technical expertise with strong commercial judgement, acting as a key advisor to clients and a leader within the team.

In this role, you will:

Provide insightful, commercially grounded transfer pricing advice to clients across a broad range of UK and international tax issues, helping them navigate complex regulatory environments and strategic cross‑border challenges. Lead and manage end‑to‑end project delivery, coordinating work across multiple teams to ensure deadlines, objectives, and quality standards are consistently met. Identify and cultivate opportunities for additional work with existing clients, while supporting efforts to build new client relationships and expand the practice. Guide, mentor, and develop junior team members, reviewing their technical work, providing coaching, and helping them grow into future leaders. Draft and review clear, impactful written outputs, including technical analyses, client reports, and internal communications, tailored to a variety of audiences. Lead functional analysis interviews across a range of sectors, shaping the analytical approach and ensuring insights are accurately captured and articulated. Oversee detailed economic analyses and financial modelling, ensuring robust methodologies, clear interpretation, and well‑supported conclusions. Review and deliver high‑quality transfer pricing documentation and related deliverables, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance. Advise clients on complex transfer pricing matters, including controversy, audits, and strategic planning. Support and, where appropriate, lead the preparation and negotiation of APAs, ATCAs, and MAP processes. Drive business development and thought leadership initiatives, contributing to proposals, presentations, and market‑facing materials. Coordinate international tax and transfer pricing advice, collaborating with A&M teams across the globe to deliver seamless, cross‑border solutions.
