Recycling Operative – Epsom, Surrey (Full-Time)

About The Role
Location: Suez Morden transfer station, Amenity Way, Morden, SM4 4AX
Salary: £16.00 per hour
Working Hours: 47.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 07:00am - 17:00pm
Saturday: Working every other Saturday, 07:00am - 12:00pm
PPE: Full PPE provided

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant operation of our recycling site. This is a hands-on role where you’ll support customers, maintain accurate records and help keep the site running smoothly in line with environmental and safety standards.

Your Responsibilities Include:
- Keeping accurate records of all site activities and the movement of materials
- Managing container exchanges by booking collections with the relevant teams, ensuring the site always has space to store and segregate materials correctly
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe site, while supporting first aider and fire warden duties
- Ensuring full compliance with Health and Safety legislation, site permits and SUEZ R&R policies, and working collaboratively with colleagues to meet all legal and operational requirements
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties within the scope of the role to support smooth site operations

We’re looking for an enthusiastic team player who takes pride in delivering high standards and is committed to safe, sustainable site operations. You’ll be supported to develop your skills and gain a full understanding of the site licence and permit requirements.

- A flexible, positive approach, with the ability to support colleagues by covering holiday or sickness when needed
- Willingness to undertake training in waste acceptance, equipment operation and site maintenance
- Basic administration skills to record data accurately using SUEZ R&R UK reporting systems
- A commitment to acting honestly, responsibly and respectfully in line with our Values and Ethics Charter
- A proactive attitude, strong teamwork skills and readiness to exceed operational, safety and compliance standards
