If you’re looking to take an exciting new direction with your HSBC career, an internal move can open the door to many opportunities, allowing you to take on a new challenge, and develop your skills. Bring your knowledge of our brand to a new role and grow yourself further. The Transformation & Change Execution Enablement opportunity is an integral position within Risk and Compliance Transformation. You’ll shape and run the enablement “engine” that makes strategic change a success through standardised governance, high-quality reporting and MI, strong business management, and independent execution oversight across Risk & Compliance Value Streams and Change Execution. This opportunity is about making delivery controlled, transparent and outcome-led—aligned to the Risk & Compliance Ambition and OKRs—while simplifying ways of working through automation, strengthening Agile adoption, improving capacity management, and elevating strategic execution risk oversight. A move across the business allows you to continue to access tailored professional development opportunities, and our fantastic benefits packages. In this role you will: Define and operate portfolio and value stream governance, providing centralised oversight and control of OKRs. Standardise governance packs, MI and reporting, using automated solutions where possible to improve data quality and reduce manual effort. Create and manage portfolio hierarchies in Group tooling and oversee change control, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and appropriate approvals. Ensure demand and OKRs clearly support the Risk & Compliance Ambition, with prioritisation and traceability. Provide consolidated strategic execution risk frameworks and independent oversight aligned to mandated Change Framework requirements. Identify systemic risks and early warning indicators, driving timely escalation, mitigation and decision-making through governance. Partner with Value Stream Leads to ensure resources are deployed appropriately, investment cases are recorded, progress is tracked, and delivery aligns to Group standards. Work with delivery partners (including Technology and Business Architecture) to ensure end-to-end delivery of committed OKRs. Lead and develop an Agile Champions network to drive consistent practices and continuous improvement. To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: Strong experience in Change and Enablement. Senior leadership experience in transformation delivery, including leading change within a value stream. Expertise in OKR-based delivery governance, portfolio MI, dependency management and executive reporting. Experience running demand planning and investment governance, including challenge and prioritisation. Strong understanding of Agile delivery and ways of working. Ability to provide independent execution risk oversight and influence confidently across senior stakeholders. Familiarity with Group Change Framework requirements for Agile delivery and assurance expectations. This role can be based in London or Sheffield on a hybrid working basis. Continue to grow with our internal opportunities. Being open to different points of view is important for our business and the communities we serve. At HSBC, we’re dedicated to creating diverse and inclusive workplaces. Our recruitment processes are accessible to everyone - no matter their gender, ethnicity, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or age.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
