Transformation & Strategy Associate (Group-Level Role)
Referment is partnering with a leading multi-disciplinary construction and engineering group to appoint a Transformation & Strategy Associate into a high-profile group-level role.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a high-performing Analyst or Consultant currently working within one of the Big 4 (Deloitte, PwC, EY, or KPMG), looking to transition into industry and gain direct exposure to:
- Executive leadership
- Strategic decision-making
- Business transformation across a complex, fast-growing organisation
Responsibilities
The role will involve working closely with the COO and senior leadership team to:
- Support the delivery of group business plans and strategic priorities
- Assist with transformation and operating model initiatives
- Coordinate and track strategic projects and change programmes
- Prepare leadership presentations, reports, and business cases
- Support governance, KPI tracking, and operational reporting
- Work directly with senior stakeholders across the wider business

The role is ideal for candidates with 1–2 years’ experience in consulting, strategy, transformation, or business change seeking a broader, commercially impactful position.
Preferred Attributes
We’re particularly interested in candidates who possess:
- Experience in Big 4 firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG) at Analyst or Consultant level
- Exposure to business transformation, change management, and strategy projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Excellent proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience with reporting and data analysis tools, including Power BI
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- A proactive, commercially minded and highly organised approach

Qualifications & Education
- A degree from a leading UK university (preferably from the top 20)
- A master’s degree is preferred
Relevant disciplines may include:

Prior exposure to construction, engineering, or infrastructure is advantageous but not essential.
