Transformation Architect (Digital & AI), Senior Contract (UK Based)
Transformation Architect (Digital & AI) | Senior Contract (UK Based), Remote, Outside IR35
Gigged AI, an open talent marketplace specialisation in IT and technology, offers an exciting contract opportunity for a Transformation Architect (Digital & AI).
Salary: £750–800 per day (experience-dependent) Start Date: 20 July 2026 (target) Duration: 4 weeks Commitment: Full-time IR35 Status: Outside IR35
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Digital Transformation Architect to support a senior technology transformation programme. This client-facing role is not a traditional enterprise architecture position—it focuses on shaping business strategy while connecting AI, platforms, and outcomes into one coherent story.
As the lead technical voice for the engagement, you’ll work closely with CTO and CEO-level stakeholders to assess opportunities, define transformation paths, and inform board-level decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business challenges into executable transformation strategies—bringing together outcomes, processes, platforms, and AI into a cohesive narrative
- Evaluate SaaS and enterprise platforms (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, Microsoft) against business needs, making clear decisions on whether to optimise, replace, or supplement capabilities
- Assess AI and automation opportunities across feasibility, data readiness, integration complexity, and risk, explaining findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Design governance frameworks and guardrails for AI-enabled workflows, including human-in-the-loop models
- Lead process and operating model assessments alongside technology evaluations
- Define target-state architecture and transition roadmaps directly tied to measurable business outcomes
- Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and executive discussions as the sole technical authority
- Develop business cases and investment recommendations for senior decision-makers

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Proven ability to assess platforms (Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, Microsoft ecosystems) and confidently recommend optimise/replace/supplement approaches
