Transformation Delivery Lead - Payments Platform
Hybrid / London 2 days
£130-140k basic + bonus + benefits
We are seeking an experienced Transformation Delivery Lead to play a key role within a major payments platform transformation programme. This is a high-impact position responsible for coordinating and driving delivery across multiple workstreams, including platform integrations, vendor onboarding, API delivery, client migrations, and operational readiness activities.
Working closely with the Transformation Delivery Director, you will operate at the centre of a complex transformation environment, ensuring projects remain aligned, dependencies are actively managed, risks are identified early, and delivery milestones are achieved.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced programme or project delivery professional with a strong background in payments, fintech, banking, or financial services, who is comfortable operating across both business and technology functions.
Transformation Delivery & Programme Coordination
- Coordinate delivery activities across multiple concurrent transformation initiatives and projects.
- Ensure alignment between project plans, programme milestones, and strategic transformation objectives.
- Identify and manage cross-project dependencies, resource conflicts, and delivery risks.
- Support integrated planning activities and critical path management across the wider programme.
- Maintain visibility of delivery progress, readiness status, and key escalation points.
- Drive follow-up actions and ensure delivery commitments are tracked through to completion.
Vendor & Third-Party Integration Management
- Coordinate delivery activities with external vendors, technology partners, and third-party providers.
- Track onboarding, integration readiness, certification activities, and implementation milestones.
- Manage vendor dependencies and support issue resolution across multiple workstreams.
- Ensure third-party deliverables align with programme timelines, testing cycles, and operational readiness requirements.
- Facilitate governance and status reporting across vendor and partner engagements.

API & Platform Integration Delivery
- Support the delivery and coordination of API integration initiatives involving both internal and external stakeholders.
- Track integration milestones, environment readiness, and delivery dependencies.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Operations teams to ensure alignment across delivery activities.
- Coordinate testing, certification, and production readiness activities relating to platform integrations.
- Identify and mitigate risks that could impact onboarding, migration, or go-live timelines.
Client Onboarding & Migration Delivery
- Coordinate onboarding and migration activities across clients, partners, vendors, and internal teams.
- Support planning and execution of readiness assessments, testing, certification, and go-live activities.
- Ensure onboarding dependencies across product, technology, operations, and support functions are actively managed.
- Track migration readiness, operational impacts, and production entry criteria.
- Support pilot implementations, hyper care planning, and post-launch activities.
Governance, Reporting & Support
- Support the Delivery Director in maintaining a centralised transformation governance framework.
- Consolidate delivery reporting, RAID logs, dependencies, milestones, and programme status into a single integrated view.
- Prepare reporting materials for executive stakeholders, steering committees, and governance forums.
- Maintain programme governance processes, ensuring actions, decisions, and risks are accurately tracked.
- Escalate delivery blockers and risks that may impact programme objectives or operational readiness.
- Produce clear and concise reporting on delivery performance, milestone confidence, vendor readiness, and overall programme health.

Essential Experience
- Proven project or programme delivery experience within Payments, Fintech, Banking or Financial Services
- Experience supporting complex transformation, migration, or platform modernisation programmes.
- Experience coordinating multiple projects and cross-functional delivery teams simultaneously.
- Strong experience managing third-party vendors, technology partners, and external stakeholders.
- Experience supporting API integration, platform implementation, or technology delivery initiatives within regulated and business-critical environments.
- Payments & Technical Knowledge, experience or understanding of one or more of the following:
- Payments platforms, API integrations, Real-time payments, Card payments, Account-to-account payments
- Vendor integrations, Client onboarding, Payment scheme certification, Platform migrations
- Testing and operational readiness
