About The Role
Title: Transformation Director
We are shaping the future of energy. As a Transformation Director, you will lead ambitious programmes that — drive our transition toward a low-carbon, digitally enabled energy future expand our product and service offerings build trusted, sustainable relationships with customers and peers
Key Objectives
At the heart of your involvement will be designing, executing, and embedding large-scale change across:
- Strategic partnerships
- Transformation & programme leadership
- Cross-functional digital & data strategies
- Operational excellence & governance
- Regulatory compliance & responsible solutions
Critical Accountabilities
1. Strategic Business Partnership
- Collaborate with senior leaders to transform strategy into executable plans

Provide objective challenge, pragmatic decision-making, and expert problem-solving

- Purpose-driven investments
- Priority-focused roadmaps
- Data-backed value-creation opportunities

2. Transformation & Programme Leadership
- Own complex, cross-organisational programmes end-to-end:
- Set and deliver on scope, cost, quality, and benefits
- Embed change from a customer- and employee-first lens
- Ensure seamless integration into business-as-usual operations
- Cultivate long-term financial and operational resilience

- Maintain real-time trajectory, risk, dependency, and results visibility
- Balance strategic vision and execution realities
5. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Create and sustain aligned decision-making across leaders and functions:
- Forge trusted relationships with executives
- Navigate conflicting priorities to remove barriers
- Drive urgency and coherence across business-wide portfolios
6. Strategic Workforce & Skills Planning
- Future-proof the organisation by:
- Identifying gaps in capability and alignment with culture change
- Supporting continuous learning and adaptability
- Inspiring a culture of collegial ownership and team excellence
7. Regulatory, Risk & ESG Stewardship
- Deliver transformations ethically, transparently, and proactively:
- Monitor regulatory, operational and delivery risks
- Embed governance practices and controls that matter
- Integrate ESG priorities into every decision and initiative
8. Leadership, Culture & Capability Building
- Elevate your team and support adoptions of new ways of working:
- Set clear direction and expectations
- Drive behavioural reshape and feedback loops
- Nurture sustainable adoption of impactful change
Work Experience & Functional/Technical Skills Required
Noticeable salary bands given for. A breadth of leadership experience is expected:
Core Areas of Expertise:
- £50m–£200m+ enterprise programmes:
- Managed multi-million-pound portfolios with monetary and strategic stakeholder needs
- Energy transition orientation: Mastery required across:
- Low-carbon technologies (heat pumps, microgrids, battery solutions)
- Smart home solutions (connected devices, EV charging, energy management)
- Electric systems resilience (future-proofing the grid)
- Executive partnership:
- Coached Board/C-suite counterparts in complex change introduction
- Programme leadership:
- Leveraged Agile, MSP, PRINCE2, Lean and hybrid frameworks:
- Balanced material change with stakeholder stability
- Digital & technology strategy:
- Translated energy-service visions into measurable KPIs and ROI
- Drove fostering usability in data analysis and AI deployment
- Workforce programme:
- Reduced experiential or skills gaps with accretive trajectories for the future
- Compliance & risk-dose culture:
- Managed risk within regulated environments with transparent accountability
- Performance cultures:
- Cultivated, and survived, complex transitions under constraint
