At Centrica Home

You’ll lead our transformation. As a Transformation Director, you’ll drive large-scale, strategic change—creating new products, services, and business models that support a sustainable energy future.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Partner with senior leaders to translate strategic ambitions into clear, actionable transformation plans
  • Provide challenge, leadership, and problem-solving at a strategic level
  • Align priorities, investments, and roadmaps with value creation
  • Bring external perspectives to risk and delivery

Transformation & Programme Leadership

  • Lead complex, large-scale portfolios from design to delivery *
  • Ensure outcomes focus on sustainable business results, customer experience, and organisational adoption
  • Deliver on critical metrics: scope, cost, quality, and benefits
  • Embed change into business-as-usual operations

Digital & Data Leadership

  • Accelerate transformation using AI, automation, analytics, and data
  • Champion innovative, insight-led approaches
  • Shape technology and product strategy in collaboration with leadership
  • Convert data into actionable opportunities and measurable impact

Delivery Excellence & Governance

  • Establish structure, processes, and governance for high-impact delivery
  • Partner with TMOs on prioritisation and sequencing
  • Balance strategic ambition with operational realities
  • Maintain transparency in progress, risks, dependencies, and benefits

Stakeholder & Collaborative Leadership

  • Unite leaders, teams, and functions for aligned decision-making
  • Build trust with executive stakeholders
  • Resolve competing priorities and complex challenges
  • Drive clarity and momentum across portfolios

Workforce & Skills Planning

  • Assess skill gaps and long-term people implications
  • Support workforce planning and capability development
  • Foster a culture of learning, adaptability, and improvement

Regulatory & Sustainability Stewardship

  • Keep transformations responsible, compliant, and sustainable
  • Manage risks across regulatory, operational, and delivery domains
  • Embed ESG considerations into programme design and delivery

Leadership & Change

  • Cultivate high-performance teams
  • Embed new ways of working
  • Set direction and encourage shared accountability
  • Drive capability growth and lasting behavioural change

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Technical Requirements

  • £50m–£200m+ Programmes: Proven track record leading complex, high-impact transformations
  • Energy Transition Knowledge: Strong understanding of low-carbon technologies, smart homes, and electrification
  • Executive Leadership: Comfortable partnering with Board-level stakeholders
  • Delivery Expertise: Deep experience in programme governance, change management, and commercial outcomes
  • Digital & Data: Skilled in AI, automation, analytics and their role in transformation
  • Workforce Insight: Experience with capability building, skills development, and organisational change
  • Regulatory Mindset: Ability to operate in regulated environments with robust compliance frameworks
  • Cultural Agility: Track record in leading through ambiguity while maintaining delivery focus

Education & Certifications

  • Degree or professional equivalence
  • Familiarity with project/portfolio methodologies (Agile, MSP, PRINCE2, Lean)
  • Advantageous: certifications in programme delivery, change, digital technologies, data analytics, or risk management
