Transformation Director

Transformation Director – Centrica Home | Flexible UK Locations with FlexFirst Hybrid Working

We’re so much more than just an energy company. We’re a family of brands revolutionising how we power the planet. At Centreica Home, we’re combining the strength of British Gas, the innovation of Hive, and the power of digital, data, and agentic AI to shape the future of energy and home services. Join 21,000+ colleagues who are driving a greener, fairer future by transforming how energy works—making it, storing it, moving it, selling it, and mending it.

About your team

At British Gas, our mission is to help customers embrace a more sustainable energy future. For over 200 years, we’ve powered the UK’s homes and businesses—but now, we’re going further. By adopting clever technologies like thermostats, heat pumps, solar panels, and EV chargers, we’re making it cheaper and easier for customers to reduce their carbon footprint while reaching Net Zero.

Our transformation programmes are the catalyst for change, driving innovation, customer-centric solutions, and operational excellence in alignment with our ultimate energy vision.

Overview

In the world we’re creating, more and more customers are choosing cleaner, smarter homes—<html to lower carbon, connected, and comfortable living. You’ll be part of the team shaping these transitions, leading transformative change from design to delivery for a more sustainable energy future at Centreica Home.

As a Transformation Director, you’ll bring clarity and direction to strategic ambitions, align stakeholders, deliver measurable results, and scale change across the business. With a mix of digital innovation, customer obsession, and commercial insight, you’ll drive meaningful outcomes that meet business needs, regulatory requirements, and societal impact.

Key Responsibilities

Your role is to shape and execute complex transformation programmes that enhance the energy of connected homes and the businesses that serve them. Core accountabilities include:

🔹 Strategic Business Partnership

  • Work closely with senior business leaders to align long-term strategy with tangible transformation plans.
  • Provide strategic challenge, leadership, and problem-solving expertise across multiple business functions.
  • Set priorities, justify investments, and map transformation roadmaps that balance ambition with reality.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
