Transformation Director

Transformation Director - Centrica Home (>£105,000 p.a.)

Join us in shaping the energy future

About the Organisation

We’re more than an energy company—we’re a family of brands revolutionising how the planet is powered. Collectively, we stand for #MoreThanACareer, a mission to disrupt and redefine energy while driving positive change within societies. Together, we’re energy pioneers—making it, storing it, moving it, selling it, and mending it—as part of Centrica, a team of 21,000 committed to building a greener, fairer energy future.

As British Gas, we lead the charge in transforming the UK’s homes and businesses by harnessing smarter technologies: thermostats, heat pumps, solar panels, and EV chargers—helping our customers reduce their carbon footprints more than ever before. It’s about powering homes and progress.

The Opportunity

Centrica Home: A Dynamic Partnership

At Centrica Home, we unite the strengths of British Gas, Hive, and digital innovation, helping to reimagine the energy and home services industry. As customers move toward lower-carbon, smarter, connected homes, we’re evolving how we serve them—bringing to market new products, services, and business models that support a sustainable energy future.

As the Transformation Director, you will play a pivotal role in this journey, leading strategic transformation programmes that create lasting impact for our customers, colleagues, and business. Part of an executive team, your expertise will shape strategy, execute initiatives, and unlock long-term value at scale.

About the Role

The Transformation Director is responsible for driving large-scale, high-impact programmes that accelerate Centrica Home’s strategic ambitions. Your responsibilities include:

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Partner with senior leaders to translate ambitions into realistic transformation plans.
  • Apply strategic critique, delivery leadership, and problem-solving.
  • Align stakeholder priorities, investments, and transformation roadmaps.
  • Bring an external perspective to value creation, risk assessment, and implementation.

Transformation & Programme Leadership

  • Lead large-scale, multi-faceted transformation programmes from concept through execution.
  • Deliver objectives across scope, cost, quality, and benefits while ensuring customer- and colleague-centric change.
  • Embed transformations into business-as-usual operations.
  • Champion accountability and sustainable performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
