# Transformation Management Office (TMO) Consultant
The Opportunity
Our client, a leading global transport organisation, is engaged in a multi-year transformation programme spanning operations, technology, customer experience, commercial performance, and organisational effectiveness.
They are seeking a high-calibre TMO Consultant to join their central transformation function in London, offering a £85,000 base salary plus bonus.
This is an ideal role for a consulting professional with strong analytical and strategic skills looking to drive change in a complex, international business. You will work directly with stakeholders to monitor delivery, challenge performance, identify risks, and ensure value is realised across the transformation portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Transformation Governance & Delivery
- Support governance and execution of strategic transformation initiatives across the organisation.
- Track programme progress, milestones, dependencies, and risks across multiple workstreams.
- Prepare steering committee packs, executive reports, and programme updates for senior stakeholders.
- Maintain portfolio-level reporting and provide insights into programme performance and delivery health.
- Enable data-driven decision-making through structured problem-solving.
Value Creation & Benefits Realisation
- Monitor transformation benefits and value delivery against business cases.
- Identify value leakage risks and opportunities across the programme portfolio.
- Develop frameworks and reporting mechanisms for measuring financial, operational, and customer outcomes.
- Collaborate with workstream leads to validate assumptions, benefits, and delivery plans.

Strategic Programme Support
- Conduct analyses of operational, commercial, and strategic performance drivers.
- Assist in transformation prioritisation, resource allocation, and scenario planning.
- Support roadmap development, implementation plans, and business case formation.
- Identify cross-functional dependencies and coordinate delivery across business units.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage with senior leaders in Operations, Commercial, Technology, Finance, and Transformation.
- Build strong relationships with programme managers, PMO teams, and executive sponsors.
- Produce clear, concise executive materials for Board and Steering Committees.
Candidate Profile
We seek analytical professionals with a consulting background and an understanding of large-scale transformation value creation.
Essential Requirements
- 2–5 years’ experience in leading management consultancy, transformation advisory, or corporate transformation.
- Strong understanding of programme management (PMO) or TMO disciplines.
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation, change, operational improvement, or strategic programmes.
- Excel proficiency, PowerPoint mastery, and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to distil complex information into clear executive insights.
- Strong commercial acumen and comprehension of business performance drivers.

Preferred Background
- Experience in transport, infrastructure, logistics, aviation, rail, or mobility environments.
- Familiarity with value creation, performance improvement, or operational excellence initiatives.
- Exposure to Executive Committees, Steering Committees, or transformation leadership teams.
- Knowledge of benefits tracking, KPI frameworks, and programme governance.

Within 12 months, the successful candidate will:
- Establish themselves as a trusted member of the central Transformation Office.
- Improve visibility of programme performance and value delivery.
- Strengthen governance, reporting, and decision-making processes.
- Identify and escalate critical delivery risks and dependencies.
- Help achieve measurable operational and financial benefits across the transformation portfolio.
This role would be ideal for professionals transitioning from major consulting firms such as: McKinsey, Bain & Co, BCG, Kearney, Strategy&, EY-Parthenon, Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, Accenture, PA Consulting, Capgemini Invent, or Alvarez & Marsal.
