Hybrid working within this role enables a balance of 50 per cent of time split between the office and home over a 4-week period. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements.

About The Role
This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of end-to-end payments transformation, tackling complex, strategic challenges and delivering meaningful change that affects millions each day.
As a Transformation Manager – Payments & Revenue, you will help shape, lead, and deliver strategic transformation initiatives across the customer payments portfolio, driving measurable outcomes in sustainable net revenue growth, improved customer experience and enhanced organisational capability.
Working closely with the Transformation Team and in partnership with stakeholders across TfL, you will:
- Solve complex strategic problems across customer payments, bringing clarity to ambiguity and shaping actionable solutions
- Lead delivery of key transformation initiatives, working across and driving alignment between product, commercial, technical, and operational teams
- Play a key role in shaping and managing the end-to-end transformation portfolio
- Design and implement target operating models and ways of working to enable sustainable change
- Develop business cases and support investment decisions, ensuring clear articulation of value and outcomes
- Define, track and realise benefits, embedding a robust approach to benefit realisation
- Identify and develop innovative solutions (technical and non-technical) to enhance TfL’s customer proposition

You will play a key role in major transformation programmes within TfL’s revenue collection system, including large-scale initiatives that underpin millions of daily journeys and billions of pounds of annual revenue.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a pragmatic, strategic problem solver who thrives in complexity and can work with and influence others to translate ideas into impact.
Essential
- Strong structured problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with the ability to break down complexity and drive clarity in ambiguous situations.
- Proven experience in delivering complex transformation and change in large organisations.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, able to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Skilled in change management, including communications, engagement and embedding change at scale
- Familiarity with governance, risk management and decision-making frameworks.
- Ability to prepare clear, concise programme updates, board papers, and senior leadership briefings.
- Strong planning, prioritisation and delivery discipline in fast-paced, complex environments.
Desirable
- Experience of operating model design and implementation.
- Knowledge of digital payments and/or automatic fare collection technologies.
- Experience developing business cases and investment appraisals.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct line authority.
- Interest and awareness of emerging trends and innovation in payments, mobility, and transport technology
- Line management experience.
