Role Profile: Senior Transformation / Programme Manager (Investments)
The Bank is seeking a highly experienced Senior Transformation / Programme Manager to join our Investments Delivery Team. This is a critical, high-impact role focused on the technological evolution of our investment operations.
You will lead the charge in modernising our "front-to-back" investment technology stack, ensuring our systems for Deal Flow and Portfolio Management (PMS) are robust, scalable, and fit for purpose.
Role Overview
- Daily Rate: (Inside IR35)
- Location: London or Sheffield (Hybrid)
- Start Date: Immediate
- Duration: Initial 6-month contract (with likely extension)
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
1. Programme Definition & Planning
- Discovery: Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify risks in the current operating model and bridge capability gaps.
- Vision & Roadmap: Define the "North Star" target-state for Investment technology and create a phased delivery roadmap.
- Governance: Establish clear delivery plans, including resourcing, dependency mapping, and rigorous governance structures.

2. PMS Selection & Implementation Mobilisation
- Market Analysis: Lead vendor assessments and requirements gathering for new Portfolio Management Solutions.
- Procurement: Facilitate RFI/RFP processes and lead supplier evaluation.
- Business Case: Build compelling investment cases, including complex cost modelling and benefit realisation plans.
- Agile Mobilisation: Develop implementation plans rooted in agile principles to ensure rapid value delivery.
3. Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
- Senior Alignment: Act as the bridge between the CIO, Investment Heads, Technology, and Operations.
- Board Reporting: Prepare and present high-level updates for steering committees and Board-level forums.
4. Delivery Enablement
- Agile Leadership: Embed agile delivery practices tailored specifically to an Investments/Private Equity context.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify blockers, manage mitigation strategies, and track overall programme health.
- Knowledge Transfer: Ensure seamless handover to permanent internal teams to maintain long-term stability.

Candidate Requirements
- Investments Technology: Proven track record of implementing technology specifically within the Investments, Private Equity, or Asset Management space.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Deep understanding of Deal Flow management and Portfolio Management Solutions (PMS).
- Strategic Leadership: Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments within the public sector or financial services.
- Agile Expert: Mastery of agile delivery methodologies and their application in non-software-only environments.
Technical Skills:
- Financial/Cost modelling for Business Cases.
- Vendor management and procurement lifecycle expertise.
- Operating Model (TOM) design and validation.
