Purpose of the Role

As a Transit Terminal Apprentice, you’ll support all Transit Terminal (TT) operations within a collaborative team environment. Essential qualities include:

  • A proactive approach to learning
  • Willingness to follow instructions
  • Ability to develop key skills while contributing to daily tasks

Responsibilities

  • Operate handheld scanning devices to accurately track freight
  • Assist Short Distance (SD) drivers with loading and unloading tasks
  • Adhere to all manual handling and health & safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organised space (general housekeeping)
  • Collaborate with warehouse/transport teams for efficient operations
  • Learn core terminal processes through practical training
  • Progress to Material Handling Equipment (MHE) training upon meeting competencies
  • Engage in team meetings, compliance briefings, and costumer training
