Purpose

Manage a series of localisation projects cost-effectively, efficiently and to the highest quality standards in our industry. This will involve the effective coordination of in-house and external suppliers as well as technological resources. In addition, the Project Manager will provide support to Team Lead/Senior Project Managers and Head of Operations as and when required.

Project Management And Administration Including

  • Preparing quotes and timelines based on client requirements and seeking approval by Team Lead/Senior Project Manager/Head of Operations where relevant.
  • Supporting the Team Lead/Senior Project Manager/Head of Operations with the development of new training and processes.
  • Selecting appropriate resources from a database of translation professionals, ensuring that we can supply when required the correct breadth of languages, experience, cost and expertise.
  • Coordination of human and technical resources to achieve the successful completion of projects and jobs.
  • Liaising with customers.
  • Monitoring deadlines and budgets.
  • Achieving agreed deadlines.
  • Effective use of MemoQ and Portico.
  • Providing excellent customer service.
  • Participating actively in client calls and meetings.
  • Completing other tasks as requested by Team Lead/Senior Project Managers or Head of Operations.

  • Operating within project budgets, monitoring profitability.
  • Project completion.
  • Maintaining a clear, well organised structure for projects.
  • Delegating tasks to team members as appropriate.
  • Providing support for junior colleagues.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Taking responsibility for accurately planning all necessary stages of a project lifecycle.
  • Taking responsibility for seeking support as and when required and ensuring daily and weekly planner is up-to-date.

Experience And Skills

  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, with strong numeric and analytical skills.
  • Highly motivated, with demonstrated problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable enough to be able to work in a variety of roles in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in order to prioritise workload and meet client deadlines.
  • Knowledge of a foreign language an advantage.
  • Ability to take responsibility and ownership and use initiative.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm and inclination to learn.
  • Willingness to share expertise.
  • 1-2 years Project Management experience.
  • Team player.
  • Graduate - ideally with a language/translation degree.
