About the role
We are looking for a Transport Administrator to join our team who is highly motivated, well organised with a can-do attitude individual. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody to develop their skills and experience in an office-based role within the Transport team.
You will provide a full and comprehensive administrative support service to our busy Transport Department in line with General Data Protection Regulations. (GDPR)
You will be responsible for:
- Accurately record and report payroll information within dedicated timelines.
- Ordering/issuing of all operational uniforms.
- Ensure all documentation relating to period end is completed within the given time-scales.
- Manage the control and collation of transport related invoices working closely with the Finance team and suppliers ensuring all invoices have a Purchase Order against them.
- Accurately record agency usage and costings for Management Accounts.
- To provide information to facilitate the collation of period Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI’s).
- Ordering and monitoring of Derv for the depot.
- Compilation of the Management Accounts (MAD).
- Collate Minutes for investigations and Disciplinary meetings for the Department when required.
- Ordering and management of Stationary.
- Ensure all documentation is completed ready for processing by the Transport Shift Managers in relation to Starters, Leavers, Change of terms and probationary periods.
- Coordinating driver recruitment.
- Management of Courier Usage and compilation of Purchase orders and Invoices on a weekly basis.
You will need:
- Current knowledge of Transport legislation including tacho-graph and working hour’s regulations would be advantageous.
- Are you enthusiastic, committed & driven to achieve effective results and reach all targets?
- Have an accurate and methodical approach to your work?
- Well organised and self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision?
- Possess excellent numeracy and literacy skills and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel?
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with individuals at all levels?
- Reliability and flexibility are also key aspects of this varied role.

Within this role you will ensure that all processes and communication in relation to supplier ordering and processing of purchase orders are adhered to effectively. On completion you will support the administration of all other transport related duties.
