The Role
The role is responsible for the accurate receiving, storing, and shipping of products to meet company standards of safety, productivity, and quality. This includes the operation of FLT (Fork Lift Trucks) and pallet trucks in the handling of products.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight in an efficient and safe manner, recording all necessary paperwork
- Carry out loading and unloading tasks using Fork Lift
- Load all vehicles with correct goods as per picking list
- Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and other miscellaneous tasks as needed
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently while meeting productivity and quality expectations
- Carry out checks on fork trucks before shifts commence; report any faults
- Move items around the warehouse using pallet truck and forklift truck
- Check product for accuracy in inventory, damage, and infestation; complete paperwork
- Perform general housekeeping of work area and conduct stock taking of goods in the warehouse
- Ensure the highest quality of work is produced and minimise waste
- Report any non-conformities to the Supervisor or Team Leader immediately
- Maintain yard and compactor area cleanliness; complete and store relevant hygiene and cleaning records
- Work in accordance with all company certifications
- Actively engage and participate in all elements of Health and Safety requirements, utilising available systems

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential Criteria:
- Hold a valid FLT licence
- Awareness of current H&S requirements
- Ability to work as a good team player and on your own initiative
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail
- Flexibility and reliability
