Transport Apprentice

Salary

As a Transport Apprentice, you'll support our Transport team in helping to ensure products are delivered efficiently from our distribution centres to stores across the UK. You'll gain hands-on experience in transport planning, administration and logistics operations while working alongside experienced colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop valuable organisational, communication and operational skills while earning a nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification.

About The Role
You'll be part of our Transport team, helping to coordinate the movement of stock to more than 340 stores across the UK.
Working alongside experienced Transport Planners and Logistics colleagues, you'll learn how transport operations are managed to ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Supporting the Transport team with day-to-day administrative tasks
- Assisting with the planning and scheduling of store deliveries
- Liaising with drivers, stores and internal departments
- Recording and investigating delivery queries and service issues
- Maintaining accurate transport and operational documentation
- Supporting compliance processes and transport administration
- Learning about fleet operations, transport legislation and logistics planning
- Providing general support to help ensure stores receive stock efficiently and on time
What You'll Need
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Confidence using computers and learning new systems
- A proactive and flexible approach to work
- Good problem-solving skills
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- An interest in Logistics, Transport, Supply Chain or Business Administration

Qualifications
- Good standard of English and Maths
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel (desirable but not essential)
