Transport Clerk

Company Description

As a Transport Administrator You will be working alongside the transport team to provide on-site operational and administrative support.

  • Checking in and out registration of drivers
  • Dispatching drivers and completing key documentation

Salary: £25,,750 per annum

Working hours:

  • Monday: 06:00 - 16:00
  • Friday: 06:00 - 16:00
  • Saturday: 06:00 - 18:00
  • Sunday: 06:00 - 18:00

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently and accurately dispatch drivers with all relevant paperwork.
  • Complete customer and Stobart KPIs where required.
  • Ensure correct trailer numbers are inputted into the internal tracking system.
  • Monitor the service board to confirm correct week numbers are assigned to depots’ trailers.
  • Liaise with drivers via gate communication systems to inform them of site procedures before entry when needed.
  • Complete all daily tasks for compliance purposes.
  • Ensure manning levels are updated and accurate.
  • Internal reporting duties.
  • Download vehicle and driver digital tachographs as required.
  • Overseer deployment of the Transport System.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an administration role.
  • Knowledge of logistics and transport operations would be advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Effective prioritisation of workload to meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft packages like Word and Excel.
