Transport Clerk

Transport Clerk (Grade P) – Permanent (Full-Time)

Location

Croydon, TA6 4AT

Shift Patterns

Any 5 out of 7 with alternate weekend off (10:45–20:00)


About the Role

DHL Supply Chain isn’t just about delivering parcels—we’re the backbone of global logistics, ensuring smooth operations while keeping businesses moving. As a Transport Clerk, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing driver dispatch, debriefs, and documentation to support efficient, compliant, and customer-focused operations.


Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibility
Act as the first point of contact for driver queries, escalating issues to first-line managers when needed
Maintain accurate data entry and filing while adhering to compliance and audit requirements
Support legal, corporate, and customer compliance for safety, service, and data integrity
Escalate driver concerns, performance issues, or welfare matters to line managers as appropriate
Enforce site rules, safety standards, and operational procedures through shift interactions
Handle dispatch and driver debriefs, ensuring all paperwork and system entries are accuracy-timed

  • Proven administrative experience (essential)
  • Preference for Transport Operation experience (desirable)
  • Excellent IT skills (all Microsoft packages)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail to ensure compliance and quality
