About the Role

The Transport Co-ordinator will support the smooth and successful delivery of quality passenger transport services in the region. This role ensures legal and contractual compliance through systems, processes, and meticulous monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for all enquiries related to the depot and transport:
    • Telephone
    • Email
    • In-person
    • (Escalate concerns as necessary)
  • Regularly provide local authority updates on service user attendance and attendance trends.
  • Monitor and record usage of mechanical replacement vehicles (MRVs), reporting to the company’s insurer weekly.
  • Assist with compliance paperwork administration, including:
    • Inspections
    • Servicing & maintenance records
    • MOT tracking
    • Defect management
  • Collaborate with the management team to keep the Cordic dispatch system updated with changes, such as:
    • Addition of new routes
    • Removal of ceased routes
  • Contract compliance support: Liaise with operational staff via:
    • Email
    • Telephone
    • In-person meetings
    • Provide notifications of route amendments
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical support for dispatch system (Cordic) users where possible.
  • Administrative assistance for the payroll team:
    • Help complete timesheets
    • Manage general payroll amendments for:
      • Drivers
      • Passenger Assistants
  • Support project work as required, related to depot operations and transport management.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as directed by management.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong organisation and IT skills are mandatory for this role.
  • Must excel in telephone etiquette and possess clear written communication in English.
  • Full commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion policies is required.
  • Compliance with Health & Safety legislation (particularly the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974), along with adherence to all company health and safety policies.
  • Must follow all company procedures and codes of conduct relevant to the role.

Benefits

  • Hourly rate: £14.80/hour (equivalent to £26,936 per year)
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 35 hours per week
    • Shift schedule aligns with operating hours: 06:00–18:00 (flexible based on business needs).
    • Daily working time: 7 hours plus 1 hour unpaid lunch break.
  • 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
