Transport Controller - Trade Waste

Description

Enva Recycling Scotland is seeking a Transport Controller to join our Transport team in Linwood on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for all vehicle operations at the depot ensuring efficient planning of resources and vehicles to deliver KPI performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor operational costs (Maintenance/Fuel/Hire) and present data on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Plan and communicate detailed route plans
  • Enforce working time regulations, addressing all non-conformance
  • Manage all elements of tachograph compliance
  • Oversee the management of absences and holidays for all drivers
  • Ensure that all personnel files are up to date incorporating licence validation, personal details, completed training etc.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance records and oversee vehicle maintenance costs
  • Ensure that all training needs are met for drivers and depot staff including inductions, re-training and annual appraisals
  • Co-ordinate the vehicle and trailer maintenance programme, including servicing, MOTs, Vehicles Off Road, weekly cab checks and maintaining all records
  • Manage the company process following accidents and incidents including the completion of relevant systems
  • Ensure all depot daily checks are completed and recorded on the central system including lorries and trailers
  • Complete weekly KPI reports and following up on poor performance

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Experience working in a multi-drop industry
  • Have good geographic knowledge of local region
