Are you an experienced transport planner looking for a position that you can really make a difference in? Do you like the idea of joining the transport planning team on a brand-new key contract for one of the biggest, fastest-growing names in logistics? We are looking for someone like you. We’re currently recruiting for a Transport Coordinator to be based at our customer site in Nottingham, on our contract with Ibstock. As part of this busy transport operation, you’ll ensure the timely and safe dispatch of drivers across Monday - Friday. With a team of drivers and units, this team will grow as the site develops.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £27,675 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
- To cost effectively plan and dispatch routes where required to achieve contractual delivery times
- Distribute Ibstock volume to Core Fleet and Subcontract Haulier Partners
- To liaise with external suppliers to ensure the effective use of hire vehicles / sub-contractors minimising the cost impact to the business
- Ensures that appropriate communication methods are used to provide information to both internal and external customers as required e.g. debrief of drivers, dealing with customer issues etc.
- Ensure that all vehicle inspections/MOT/Services are planned and completed.
- To ensure that all traffic planning activity is undertaken in line with legislative requirements e.g. RTR
- To ensure compliance with Company Health & Safety requirements highlighting any concerns to line management

What You Need To Succeed At XPO
- Experience of planning and managing a complex transport environment
- Proven experience within transport and a good understanding of compliance and driver hours
- Experience of WTS transport planning system (Desirable)
- Experience in telematics operating systems [Data Driven current provider] (Desirable)
- Thrive under pressure within a challenging environment and solve complex problem
