Transport Coordinator Required – Manchester – Full Time

Company & Location

  • Location: Newton Heath, Greater Manchester
  • Company: Well-established industrial packaging manufacturer specialising in bespoke packaging solutions
  • Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic Transport Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of transport, production, and customer service. Ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at managing multiple priorities.

Package & Benefits

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm (early finish on Fridays when workload permits)
  • Salary: £30,000 per annum
  • 5% Annual performance bonus
  • Christmas bonus
  • Private medical insurance (after 12 months)
  • Company pension

Responsibilities

  • Plan daily transport routes and coordinate collections
  • Liaise with production teams, customers, drivers, and third-party hauliers
  • Process transport documentation and maintain accurate records
  • Manage driver hours, vehicle checks, and fleet administration
  • Monitor customer KPIs and provide regular performance reports
  • Organise product transfers between sites
  • Support accounts department with month-end administration when required

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ B2B customer service experience
  • Strong preference for candidates with previous experience in transport, logistics, or production coordination
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general IT skills (Sage experience desirable)
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Strong professional communication skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
