Transport Coordinator

Working in partnership with M&S, at Gist we deliver industry-leading logistics and supply chain transformation.

We value, celebrate, and believe in the power of individuality and strive to create a work environment where everyone can be themselves. We want you to join us, bring your authentic self to work and unlock your full potential.

At Gist, we work in partnership with M&S to deliver industry-leading logistics and supply chain solutions — ensuring stores stay stocked with the products customers love.

We’re now looking for 2 experienced Transport Coordinators to join our busy Spalding operation:

  • 1 x Dayshift
  • 1 x Nightshift

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced transport environment, thrive under pressure, and like being at the centre of an operation, this could be the role for you.

What you’ll be doing

As a Transport Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in keeping our transport operation running safely, efficiently, and on time.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Briefing and debriefing drivers at the start and end of shifts
  • Acting as the first point of contact for driver queries and live operational issues
  • Monitoring routes and vehicle movements throughout the shift
  • Escalating delays or issues to the Team Manager where required
  • Supporting operational excellence across service, cost, and peak planning
  • Ensuring legal compliance in line with O-Licence requirements
  • Managing payroll administration, holidays, and Kronos exceptions
  • Delivering excellent customer service and quick resolutions to operational challenges

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
