Transport Coordinator

Job Description

The Role

As a Transport Coordinator in our Central Transport Team, you will be the heart of our daily transport operation, making a real difference by keeping our large network moving smoothly. Serving as the primary contact for both NEXT and agency drivers, you will work closely with your team and the wider warehouse staff to ensure our delivery operation is seamless. Fast-paced, varied, and full of energy, this role is perfect for a proactive, customer-focused individual. The available position is working a rotating shift pattern of Wednesday - Saturday in Week 1, followed by Thursday - Saturday in Week 2, 7am - 7pm. Transport experience is an advantage, but what is more important is great customer service skills and the willingness to get started and confidently take on the challenge.

What You'll Take On

  • Actively coordinate drivers, ensuring everyone is accurately allocated the correct routes and vehicles while carefully considering driver hours, vehicle mileage, and maintenance schedules.
  • Despatch drivers efficiently with run sheets, manifests, and vehicle check sheets, and conduct thorough debriefs in line with company requirements.
  • Keep operations organized by filing vehicle check sheets and agency paperwork, inputting correct debrief data, and downloading tachograph information.
  • Work collaboratively with your Team Manager to highlight areas for operational improvement, such as turnaround times, unauthorized stops, or fuel discrepancies.
  • Support the driving team by managing and passing on driver queries and holiday requests in a timely, professional manner.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
