At Asda, we want you to find your everything. As our Transport Department Manager, you’ll take charge of the transport operation within your department, making sure goods move safely, legally, and on time. You’ll achieve departmental KRAs while supporting our wider depot strategy and ensuring every journey runs smoothly.
Are you able to work shifts that start at 13.00 and finish at 22:00. You will work 9 shifts per 2 week period, ( 5 days week one 4 days week 2 )
Reporting to the Shift Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day transport activity, from scheduling and vehicle deployment to delivery accuracy. You’ll apply established procedures, carry out routine checks, and ensure full compliance with legal requirements and Asda standards.

What You’ll Bring
- Experience working with structured transport or logistics procedures.
- Experience supervising colleagues or leading routine operational activity.
- Strong planning skills, including scheduling and prioritising work.
- Understanding of safe systems of work and transport compliance.
- Ability to interpret data, analyse trends, and produce clear reports.
- Strong communication and people support skills.
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
