About The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Transport & Distribution Centre Manager to run one of our 24‑hour depots, playing a vital role in ensuring patients receive essential medicines safely, accurately, and on time.
As the Centre Manager, you’ll take full ownership of day‑to‑day operations across a busy regional site. You’ll lead a team of drivers, warehouse staff, manage fleet compliance, maintain strict temperature‑controlled product standards, and ensure all KPI targets are consistently achieved.
You’ll drive service excellence, support national distribution objectives, and champion our mission to give patients greater control of their health through convenience, choice, and connection.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing daily operations to meet local, regional, and national performance metrics
- Managing driver rotas, holidays, sickness, training, forecasting, and workload planning
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed in full and to the highest service standard
- Maintaining full stock and product tracking, guaranteeing accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Ensuring fleet vehicles remain roadworthy, clean, temperature‑compliant, and aligned with business needs
- Managing operational budgets for your site and supporting other centres nationally
- Leading business continuity planning so patient service is never disrupted
- Acting as the site’s Responsible Person, ensuring a safe, clean, and supportive work environment

What We Are Looking For
- An experienced people manager with strong logistics, transport or depot leadership experience
- Someone confident in decision‑making within a 24-hour, fast-paced operational environment
- A strong communicator who builds trust, supports their team, and maintains high performance standards
- Someone comfortable working flexibly to support a 24/7 regional operation
- Proficient in MS Office with strong organisational and planning skills
- Must hold a clean, valid driving licence and pass DBS checks
