Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Transport First Line Manager to join our team in Greenford, supporting our customer Waitrose. As a Transport First Line Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of transport operations, ensuring customer service, operational performance and colleague engagement targets are achieved for our customer.
This is a full time, permanent position, working an any 5 from 7 rotating shift pattern of 04:00 till 14:00, 09:30 till 17:30 and 15:00 till 23:00.

- We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £39,007.00 per annum, and 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays).

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Manage and prioritise multiple operational activities simultaneously, ensuring risks are identified, controlled and escalated appropriately
- Monitor operational performance throughout the day, taking proactive action to minimise the impact of service, compliance or resource-related tasks
- Lead operational communications, ensuring all colleagues are informed, engaged and aligned to business priorities and performance expectations
- Support workforce planning and resource management activities to ensure appropriate levels of operational cover is maintained

What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience managing teams within a fast paced transport, logistics, distribution or home delivery operation
- Strong understanding of workforce planning and resource allocation
- Excellent transport knowledge of current EU and working time regulations
