Pay Rate: £37,504.81

Grade: RCS N

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: Working any 5 from 7, 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm on rotation

Location: Livingston

We are looking for an experienced and driven Transport First Line Manager (FLM) to join our busy transport operation. This is a key leadership role, responsible for the successful execution of transport plans while ensuring all transport and network service levels (SLAs) and KPIs are achieved.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver transport plans effectively to ensure customer, operational and network requirements are met
  • Supervise and coordinate daily transport activities, ensuring productivity targets and deadlines are achieved safely and efficiently
  • Lead, manage and motivate drivers and transport clerical colleagues through effective communication, coaching and performance management
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, one-to-one meetings and engagement activities to support colleague development and wellbeing
  • Ensure drivers remain legal and compliant at all times, with a strong focus on Driver Hours, Working Time Directive regulations and fleet compliance
  • Maintain clear communication across the transport department, warehouse operation and customer stakeholders
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture, ensuring all company policies and procedures are followed.

What You'll Bring

  • Previous people management experience within a transport environment is essential
  • Experience working within a transport office, logistics or wider supply chain operation
  • Strong knowledge of Driver Hours legislation, Working Time Directive regulations and transport compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
