Transport Supervisor – Flogas (Knowsley)

About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and organised Transport Supervisor. Reporting to the Site Manager, you’ll support day-to-day operations at our Knowsley facility, overseeing the bulk and cylinder LPG delivery fleet, and managing our drivers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring safe vehicle fleet operations and delivering domestic and commercial LPG customers on time.
- Maintaining DVSA compliance with driver schedules, tachograph analysis, and work time directive adherence.
- Monitoring driving hours, CPC compliance, and supporting driver training schedules.
- Conducting daily driver debriefs for operational check-ins.
- Adhering to all health and safety policies.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee driver-based transport operations (bulk & cylinder vehicles).
- Safely manage vehicle maintenance schedules and tachograph compliance.
- Debrief drivers post-shift to ensure schedule adherence and social compliance.
- Maintain drivers’ hour and CPC regulations under current EU/UK working time directives.
- Partner with Site Manager to optimise delivery schedules to meet customer needs.
- Maintain strong administrative and IT skills for shift-routing and monitoring.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration, working with drivers and logistics staff.

What We Need From You
We look for professionals who are reliable, organised and customer-focused. To be considered, you must:
- Hold a full UK D1 Driver qualification (for smaller vehicles) or full HGV/licence with previous managing experience.
- Have a proven track record of supervising drivers.
- Understand daily vehicle turnaround requirements in a fast-paced delivery environment.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Be flexible, resilient, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Show commitment to customer experience by delivering reliable service.
- Have a clean D4 medical certificate and CPC certifications.
- Support a 24/7 delivery schedule, with overlap/redirects as required.
Strong candidates will also have:
- Experience or interest in environmental sustainability.
- A passion for technical innovation in energy technology.
