Job Role: Transport Operative

We are looking for a Transport Operative to join our existing team at Llanybydder. The role involves moving trailers around the site, as well as off site, driving heavy good vehicles, shunters, and forklift trucks as required.

You’ll be someone who

  • Has successfully obtained their Class 1 HGV driver’s licence
  • Will have a proven safety track record
  • Follows instructions and work with care and consistency
  • Upholds and shares our strong values and supports a positive team culture
  • Communicates well
  • Works well with others
  • Is reliable and hardworking
  • Good understanding of animal handling – or willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment

Responsibilities

Your Main Duties will include:

  • Ensuring the safe transport and manoeuvring of Heavy Goods Trailers around the site, adhering to all health and safety rules and requirements.
  • Ensuring no damage to structural fabrication of buildings or company equipment.
  • Ensuring Vehicle Security Policy is adhered to.
  • Ensuring all haulier paperwork is completed correctly.
  • Unload deliveries
  • Dispose of rubbish daily
  • Work closely with Sales, Planning and Despatch to plan transport requirements in line with daily workflow plans
  • Clean inside trailers if dirty
  • Ensuring appropriate housekeeping standards are maintained on a daily basis.
