Here at Langdons, we have an amazing opportunity for a Transport Operator to join the team based in Liverpool. You will be working on a full time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday Days and in return, you will receive a highly competitive salary of £31,709.11 per annum plus excellent company benefits!

The Transport Operator role:

This is a fantastic role to really get your teeth into! Your role will be to develop and implement plans for the routing of company drivers and vehicles, ensuring all relevant resources are deployed cost-effectively and efficiently.

About us:

Whether it's fresh consignments or frozen goods, we have it covered! Langdons can deliver to almost any location in the UK or Ireland within 24 hours. We have 12 depots and over 375 lorries carrying chilled and frozen food all over the country. We're the only company providing a 24-hour service of this kind, and we are very good at it.

What you’ll be doing as our Transport Operator:

  • Build loads and plan routes efficiently and effectively
  • Regularly review and update plans and communicate with all relevant colleagues
  • Quote prices for movement of loads upon request
  • Ensure all company systems are updated accurately and on a timely basis and relevant paperwork is in place
  • Work closely with workshop colleagues to ensure resource requirements and service schedules are met
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records

What qualifications and experience are we looking for in our Transport Operator?

  • Qualified to Level 3 Supply Chain Operator or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a team-based office environment, preferably in a customer-facing role
  • Ability to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data
  • Extensive knowledge and application of transport regulations and health & safety procedures

What skills are we looking for in our Transport Operator?

  • Ability to use initiative and be organised so key tasks are completed fully and on time
  • Ability to work to fluid targets and deadlines
