Transport Planner

Transport Planner – Permanent Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Transport Planner to join our team in Market Drayton on a permanent, full-time basis.

As a Transport Planner, you will efficiently manage load assembly, deliveries, and transport resource allocation to optimise our supply chain operations.

Salary & Hours

  • Salary: Up to £36,679.09 per annum, depending on experience
  • Working Hours: Flexible any 4 from 7-hour shifts, between 07:30–18:00

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently resource placements across Culina’s fleet network.
  • Centralised planning of loads for all Culina Chill sites, including group interventions.
  • Assemble and distribute over 400 multi-drop/consolidated loads within every 24-hour period.
  • Coordinate around 200+ collections daily against agreed KPIs.
  • Determine optimal transport for each site, minimising sub-contracted work.
  • Exceed set KPIs to maintain high performance standards.
  • Daily liaison with Shift Managers, Transport Coordinators, Customer Service & Client Support Teams.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Manage operational issues, ensuring smooth internal operations.
  • Address client requests effectively and efficiently.
  • Carry out additional duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good geographical awareness of routes and logistics.
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Outstanding communication skills to ensure clear information exchange.
  • Proven ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification desirable but not essential.
  • Proactive decision-making to drive cost-effective solutions.
