HOURS:

07:30 - 16:30 Monday - Friday

SALARY:

£27,000 - £34,000 dependent on experience plus benefits

We are delighted to be recruiting for an additional Transport Planner based at Alunet Systems part of the Eurocell Group of companies.

This role would suit an experienced Transport Planner who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Sitting at the heart of the transport operation, you'll combine route planning, driver management, and real-time problem solving to ensure services are delivered smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

What Our Transport Planners Do

  • Plan vehicle routes, collections, and trunking schedules to maximise operational efficiency and maintain high service levels
  • Manage daily workloads and liaise closely with Customer Service teams to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Act as the primary point of contact for transport-related issues, resolving operational challenges quickly and effectively
  • Ensure all vehicles are dispatched on time, prioritising urgent deliveries where required
  • Work closely with Warehouse teams to support effective vehicle loading and maximise vehicle utilisation
  • Manage driver communications, timesheets, holidays, and day-to-day resource planning
  • Ensure full compliance with all driver, vehicle, and transport regulations
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules, MOTs, servicing, and breakdown support to minimise downtime
  • Promote a culture of compliance, health & safety, and operational excellence across the transport function
  • Support the wider management team across both transport and warehouse operations, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

What We Need From Our Transport Planners

  • Previous experience in a transport planning or supervisory role
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage and influence drivers
  • Confident working under pressure and adapting to changing priorities
  • Good geographical knowledge and understanding of transport compliance (tachographs / O-licence)
  • Strong organisational and IT skills
  • Positive, proactive approach with a team-focused mindset
  • FLT (Counterbalance) licence - desirable but not essential
